During the 12-month partnership, Construct Digital will take on responsibilities relating to value proposition, brand positioning, lead generation, as well as customer development and retention. The contract also includes all creative development, production and media planning, and buying duties.
Co-founders of Rosetta.ai, Daniel Huang and Alice Li, said: “We were looking for a transformational agency partner with a strong understanding of our expansion markets, clear knowledge of the eCommerce space and a passion for understanding the human traits and drivers behind customer decision making."
According to Huang and Li, Construct Digital demonstrated a clear understanding of this. "We know that our technology helps eCommerce merchants unlock real value with their customers and we are looking forward to working with Construct Digital to tell that story and helping e-commerce merchants in the region grow even further," they added.
"This entrepreneurial and visionary team has been pushing the boundaries of eCommerce technology and we are thrilled to be working with them. They are smart and innovative change agents who are on a mission to transform the eCommerce space for local business operators across Asia Pacific," Richard Bleasdale, CEO of Construct Digitals explained.
Specialising in fashion-centric, image-based machine learning, Rosetta.ai leverages deep learning technology to help eCommerce merchants of all sizes understand fashion-savvy customers and create shopping experiences that drive growth. According to the brand, which was founded in 2016, it has worked with Silicon Valley VC brands such as SOSV and 500 Global, and other brands such as SOLE, Howtravel, Shopify, and Shopline. Retail eCommerce sales worldwide is projected to rise from US$1,336 to US$6,388 from 2014 to 2024, according to a 2022 Shopify report. In fact, Southeast Asian consumers in particular are actively choosing to purchase their items through digital channels, with 65% reporting that when they shop online, they already know what they’re going to buy, according to a previous Lazada study conducted in collaboration with Milieu Insight. In Singapore in particular, 46% of respondents said online shopping became important to them in the last two years, likely due to the pandemic, and 85% said they are now spending more online than in stores.
On the other hand, Construct Digital is headquartered in Singapore with teams in Indonesia, Vietnam, India and the Philippines. It has worked with brands such as National University of Singapore, SGX, Singapore Green Building Council, Merz Aesthetics, ITMA, Shippit, Commscope and eBay, among others. According to the transformation agency, it helps brands spot, interpret and leverage opportunities, and specialises in three areas - marketing transformation, experience transformation and business transformation.
In March this year, ad industry veteran Richard Bleasdale joined Construct Digital as CEO. In a previous statement to MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Construct Digital founder and managing partner Charanjit Singh said the agency was built from the positioning of “The Transformation Agency”, and it has now created a new agency leadership role of chief executive officer, which is what Bleasdale has assumed. In his role, Bleasdale helped bring Construct Digital's transformation message and point-of-view to larger and more ambitious, regional and global brands.
